Terms of service

Last updated 1 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Kunolu Applications Inc (“Kunolu”, “we”), the maker of TineEQ. They cover the TineEQ Audio Units, the TineBrain helper app, your TineEQ account and the TineEQ Pro subscription. By creating an account or using TineEQ you agree to them.

Your account

You need an account and an active TineEQ Pro subscription to use TineEQ. Without one, TineEQ passes your audio through unchanged. TineEQ checks your subscription when your Mac is online and keeps working offline for up to 7 days after its last check. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person. You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.

TineEQ Pro

  • Prices. There is no free trial: you pay for the first month or year when you subscribe. TineEQ Pro costs US$14.99 a month or US$149 a year. Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may add currency-conversion fees, and sales tax or VAT is added where the law requires it.
  • Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and you authorise us to charge your payment method for each renewal until you cancel. If we change the price, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from Setup in TineEQ (Manage subscription) or from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep TineEQ Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Refunds. Payments are not refunded for partly used periods, except where the law where you live requires it. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can cancel within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full. If something went wrong with a charge, write to us and we’ll look at it.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, TineEQ keeps working for 3 days while you update your card. After that it passes audio through unchanged until the payment goes through.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment, and these terms stay at this address so you can save or print them.

Fair use of the Sound Engineer

The Sound Engineer runs on a paid AI service, so each account has a monthly allowance and a daily allowance, plus limits on how quickly requests can be sent. These limits are set so a working musician finishing songs won’t normally reach them. Your account page shows how much you’ve used. When an allowance is used up, the Sound Engineer stops until it resets; the rest of TineEQ keeps working. We may pause the Sound Engineer for everyone for a while to protect the service. Don’t try to get around the limits, share your account, or use the service for anything other than working on your own music in Logic Pro.

Your music

Your songs, recordings and sessions stay yours. Your audio is processed on your Mac and is not uploaded. To answer you, TineEQ sends a description of your session to the AI service, as set out in the privacy policy. You give us permission to handle that information only to run the service for you.

Using TineEQ

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use TineEQ on Macs you own or control while your account is in good standing. Don’t copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute it, except where the law allows that regardless of these terms.

The Sound Engineer changes your Logic session. It can be wrong, and AI output can be unexpected. TineEQ keeps an undo history of its changes, but keep backups of your projects, and listen before you release anything. You are responsible for the music you publish.

Changes and ending

We may update TineEQ and these terms. If a change to the terms matters, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, saying what changes; you can cancel before then without penalty, and continuing to use TineEQ after that means you accept it. You can stop using TineEQ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we’ll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Warranty and liability

TineEQ is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Other things

Logic Pro is a trademark of Apple Inc.; TineEQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Ontario, except where the consumer-protection law of the place you live gives you the right to bring it in your local courts. The English and French versions of these terms are equally authoritative.
